HAPPY DUE DATE TO ME!!!

Today is my official due date and still no baby. We had an ultrasound this moring just to make sure that everything is ok with the baby. Everything looks good, but they are prediciting that she already weighs 9 pounds!!!! The doctor did say it is possible that the measurements could be off, and I hope that she is right and that she weighs just a bit less.
We have an induction scheduled for Tuesday morning at 4am and we are hoping that all goes well...fast and without complication. So if it all goes as planned, we will have ourselves a Mardi Gras baby!!!
The next post should be introducing Maeve to you!!!!

Getting closer to the end...

Here is a picture of the crib with the bedding that my mom made...purple and butterflies, of course!!!
I have been neglecting my blog and I promise to post more pictures soon. as Maeve's room is now set up and ready for her arrival.
I have been feeling ok, definately getting to the point of uncomfortable. My feet are swollen and finding a comfotable position to sleep in has become more of a chore. I have been seeing the doctor every week for the past few weeks. At 36 weeks I was already 2 cm dialated and 50% effaced. The doctor seems to think that I might have this baby early, since most first time moms aren't as progressed as I already am. She said if she were betting on it, that I would have her at 38 weeks. Well, I am 38 weeks now and soooo ready!!!! I would like her to stay in there just a bit longer so that I don't have to go back to work until AFTER spring break, but I will be just as happy to meet her if she comes tomorrow. I have been feeling some contractions, but nothing consistent or long-lasting. Just some quick, sharp pains in my lower belly every now and then.
Sean and I are really excited about being parents and we are all set for her arrival. Her room is ready, her clothes are washed, and her car seat is sitting in the back seat of my car, waiting for her to take her first car ride home from the hospital!!! I know that my parents and Sean's parents are excited too and my parents called to day to tell me that their bags are packed and they are ready to hop in the car anddrive the 6 hrs to get here as soon as they get the call!! I;m sure that Sean's parents are doing the same thing...they just have to book a flight!!!
I will keep you posted on any progress!!!
